Event Overview

Spring is a great time to celebrate all the beautiful flowers and events! Be ready by learning how to make a beautiful, unique custom floral design to celebrate the Spring season with Julie Foreman, owner of Merci Bouquet. Not only will you learn the basics of how to buy and care for flowers, but you will also learn how to create a custom design. Impress yourself and others with your knowledge! You'll be able to take your custom design with you to enjoy at home, to impress your guests at your next dinner party, or to give as a lovely gift.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

As a speech language pathologist by day, owner Julie Foreman has always had a passion and love for expression and communication. She discovered a desire to learn and discover floral design because it is the perfect opportunity to combine her love and appreciation for flowers and communication. Custom floral designs are the perfect way to express a variety of emotions and to reflect people for who they are. This point is integrated into each piece of work that Julie creates.

Julie has been designing since 2012 and has the continual opportunity to fall more in love with and develop designing skills through a variety of hands-on experiences and completing floral design classes through Austin Community College. She is excited and honored for Merci Bouquet to have the opportunity to be a part of your opportunities of expression.

This class was so fun!!! Julie does an awesome job of providing valuable tips to make a lovely floral design that are do-able (not the kind that you feel like you wouldn't really be able to do later). She taught us in a fun, well-paced, interactive manner. I learned some really simple ideas to make lovely bouquets. She also gave great ideas on where to buy flowers for a good value and check their quality. She was incredibly knowledgeable about types of flowers and tools to use. The event set-up was lovely where we all had our own station to create our bouquets. Very fun and would highly recommend to get together and do with your family and friends!
